Background: Even though tuberculosis has been linked to pneumothorax for a long time and caused significant morbidity mortality in some patients, it the topic of few publications analyses, thus very little study done evaluate review on this matter.Case: In article, we reported 39-year-old male, presented ER with breathlessness last 3 days accompanied by increased sputum productivity. The patient had an active pulmonary taht was under treatment, as well HIV. Physical examination showed low chest expansion, weakened breathing sounds both lungs, use accessory muscles. X-ray bilateral pneumothorax. underwent emergency decompression 16-gauge needle sides, followed insertion IPC tube. patient's got significantly better, after 35 days, removed.Discussion: Pneumothorax is frequent complication Tuberculosis HIV, prevalence 6.8% compared 0.95-1.4% without progression HIV positive slower, up since onset, occured other etiologies. Secondary usually occurs extensive destruction leaving functionality lower cardiopulmonary reserve, requiring prompt evaluation more aggresive lifesaving treatment.Conclusion: Based case, found HIV-associated TB patients comes insidious onset but warrants immediate aggressive treatment or surgery if necessary.
